Olive To Legislators: Do Not Eat Food In Places You're Not Sure Of

A section of MPs in the 11th Parliament are in a state of panic following an increase in poison allegations from members of the house.

According to information collected by a local news blog, two MPs confessed to having been targets of poisoning but only survived by the mercy of God.

The MPs, (names withheld) asserted that the issue of potential poisoning was true and never a myth as some claimed. In 2018, the State Minister for Primary Health Care Dr. Joyce Kaducu cautioned parliamentarians to be careful about what they eat and who they eat with, attesting to being a victim of poisoning that saw her spend 6 months in Nairobi on treatment.

Commenting on the alleged life threats in Parliament, Olive Najjuma,The Fatboy Show presenter on RX Radio said that If indeed it is true that some people are being poisoned, I would advise that they stay away from food, you know we Ugandans love to eat but also people love free food.

She inferred that just like the President is selective regarding places he eats from and who cooks his food so should parliamentarians.

“I am like if you feel that parliament has become that sensitive, don't eat food in places you're not sure of, eat from home,” Olive advised.

Further relating to the speculations, The Fatboy Show co-host James Onen aka Fatboy made reference to the late Brigadier Nobel Mayombo who succumbed to a sudden illness on May 1, 2007. The speculations around his death to date have been lingering around him being poisoned.

The Brigadier felt unwell on April 27, 2007 and was admitted to Kololo hospital where he was diagnosed with acute pancreatitis. His condition worsened and 2 days later he died at the Aga Khan hospital in Kenya.

Although, the President tasked a team of three individuals, Dr Peter Mugenyi the former director of the Joint Clinical Research Centre, Lieutenant Tagaswire Rusoke, a UPDF biochemist and Colonel James Mugira, the UPDF Tank Unit commander to carry out investigations and establish the cause of his death, when it was done, the report findings were publicized.

Fatboy too advised the parliamentarians to take personal responsibility of what they eat and where they eat from since that's what most world leaders.

The Fatboy show is hosted by James Onen aka Fatboy, Olive and Sarah every weekday from 6am to 10am on RX Radio.
