Ugandans have been urged to stay away from unnecessary politics and start focusing on other areas of their lives that are more productive for them and their families.
During this morning’s Fatboy show on RX Radio, James Onen aka Fatboy said that now that the general elections are done, Ugandan should move on and start focusing on their businesses, jobs and families.
“Do not let politics consume all your time because by doing so, you are giving a lot of power
to the politicians who are mainly selfish and only look out for their needs,” Fatboy said.
This comes at a time when Uganda is still tensed up in expectation of post-election violence
following allegations by opposition presidential candidates that say the election was rigged in
favor of the incumbent Yoweri Museveni.
President Museveni was announced winner of the presidential race by the Electoral Commission after scooping the majority votes (58%). His closest challenger, Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine polled 34% but dismissed the results as rigged. He has since been put under house arrest to prevent him from causing post election chaos according to the security officials.
Fatboy’s co-host Olive however noted that Ugandans should be involved in politics because
bad governance can affects all other elements of their lives.
The Fatboy show is hosted by James Onen aka Fatboy and Olive Najjuma every weekday
from 6am to 10am on RX Radio.
