James Onen, aka Fatboy, argued that many women nowadays make it almost impossible for men to date them due to the numerous requirements they demand.
He and his co-host Olive Najjuma were talking about what a good relationship should entail when Fatboy said that men are getting overwhelmed by the things women require from them in a relationship.
“These days, ladies have long lists of requirements, and it is making men feel like it is too daunting. So they end up thinking that dating is not for them,” he said.
Olive Najjuma, one of the show's co-hosts, said it is self-defeating for one partner to demand many things from the other. It could prove overwhelming if turned around for the same individual to meet all the demands of their significant other.
“You can’t ask a man to be your best friend, your provider, the best man in bed, be understanding, help you cook, and do other things. Have a few things that stand out for you, and then find other ways of having others,” she said.
She added that in a relationship, partners shouldn’t solely place the burden of their happiness on their partners.
Similarly, Fatboy said that when most women are deeply in love, instead of proving their affection through being intimate with their partners, they instead complain and nag.
“If you tell me that you love me so much am like; show it. You are not available to give me the intimacy I want, you are not caring or trying to look nice, and you are not cooking for me, so what is this love saying except complaining that I didn’t call you yesterday,” Fatboy wondered.
Asked how men show their love to women, Fatboy said men provide acts of service and gifts. “If a man has the money to spend and he finds a woman he loves deeply, he will tend to shower her the gifts.”
The Fatboy show is hosted by James Onen aka Fatboy, Olive, and Sarah every weekday from 6 am to 10 am on RX Radio.
