Fatboy: I’d Probably Want My Daughter To Marry Someone Like Me

It is common for one to dream of a future partner with similar traits as those of their parents. But would parents want their children to marry someone like them?

Today on The Fatboy Show, James Onen said he would probably wish for his daughter to marry someone like him.

“I think I am a person that treats life and everything that I do seriously. I can handle a little bit of pressure, so I would expect any man my daughter marries to be able to handle some of those pressures. A man that can be strong and offers guidance,” he said.

Olive Najjuma, on the other hand, said she would be fine with her son marrying someone like her only if she carried her positive traits.

“I would want him to marry someone like me if she carries the positive attributes, for instance, loyalty, dependence, kindness, hardworking and must be understanding. Now the negative trait and something that I have worked on for years is my temper. I hated myself because of a very short temper,” she confessed.

While commenting on the same, Sheila, a caller on the show, said perhaps she would let her son marry someone like her.

“I am headstrong. When I make up my mind about something, I won’t care what others say. I wouldn’t want my daughter-in-law to be as headstrong as me but also not be a walkover because nobody would like someone like that,” she said.

The Fatboy show is hosted by James Onen aka Fatboy, Olive, and Sarah every weekday from 6 am to 10 am on RX Radio.
