Fatboy: Funny that the United States stood no chance against pick-up riding Taliban Militants

RX Radio Presenter James ‘Fatboy’ Onen has said that though the United States had all the advanced technology and state of the art arsenal, they overtime applied to defeat the Taliban regime, it still turned out to be a no match for the Taliban militants.

The morning show Presenter made these remarks after the Ugandan Minister of State for Refugees Ms Anyakun Esther, announced that the country will be receiving and hosting at least 2000 refugees that will temporarily stay for a period of 3 months or slightly longer after the US backed Afghan government relinquished power.

“People make fun of these barbaric militants that ride on camels and drive pickup trucks through the desert and hide in caves. Many thought that they were backward but they stood up against all the US advanced forces and eventually emerged victorious!”

Olive Najjuma, Co-host of the show, seconded Fatboy’s argument saying that it is shameful to see that US despite the modern arsenal it brags about, lost to Talibans in a war that has turned out to be no more than a waste.

“What's sad is that America sacrificed over 200,000 lives of young Americans to fight a war that doesn't make sense because right now veterans are looking back and they're like- ‘did I lose my limbs for this?’ ” she wondered.

Recently, the US decided to withdraw its troops from Afghanistan after 20 years of war against the Taliban. However, this sparked global outrage after a viral footage showed thousands of helpless nationals flocking the Kabul Airport as others tried to cling onto a US Air Military Force plane that was preparing to take off. The Taliban took over power in the country shortly after the American backed president Ashraf Ghani fled the country.

The show is hosted by James Onen aka Fatboy and Olive Najjuma every weekday from 6am to 10am on RX Radio
