At The End Of The Course, Learners Will Be Able To Start A Studio Of Their Own - Swangz Academy.

According to the founder of Swangz Avenue Benon Mugumya, the 4-week course at Swangz Academy will give learners all they need to start a small studio of their own.

Mr. Benon said this during an interview with The Fatboy Show hosts James Onen and Olive Najjuma where he was giving a detailed explanation about the intents of the Academy.

“We shall have a wide range of courses, for example, those specifically for holidaymakers. But for other learners, we have customized the essential courses to what can help one, for instance, start a small studio or be able to cover an introduction ceremony, edit it and make some money,” Mr. Benon said.

The Swangz Avenue creative academy is to offer courses in audio production, cinematography, digital video editing, live broadcast, scriptwriting, and film production among others.

The production house founder said that the courses are well designed to help learners make money immediately hence bridging the gap between basic school education and the creative world by providing 80 percent practical courses.

With over 14 years of experience, he also said it is also part of a community giveaway that the music group has always wanted to do by teaching audio and visual production to young minds.

He said that throughout their years of service, there has been an observation of a limited skill set in the field. This is partly the gap to be filled by the academy.

“As we grew and diversified to other things like TV production, content production, and creation, there’s always been a scarcity of talent, editors, videographers, and new producers. It has become a new necessity for us. We are always out on the hunt for passionate people who do what we do and so we decided to train people to join the industry,” he said.

Both audio and visual production courses are for four weeks and registration for the June intake is already in progress.

The Academy is certified by the Directorate of Industrial Training (DIT) under the Ministry of Education and Sports.

The Fatboy show is hosted by James Onen aka Fatboy, Olive, and Sarah every weekday from 6 am to 10 am on RX Radio.
